Wood Pellet Stove
Wood pellet stove prices in the USA retail between
$1,500 upwards to $3,500. Most new wood pellet
stove users have installed these stoves to help
combat their heating bill to the on going rising
cost of home heating oil year to year.
Most common of these pellet stoves measure 24"
x 24"wide x 28"high. They self contain
a pellet storage bin known as "The Hopper"
and can hold 40lbs or either 50lbs of wood
pellet fuel.
They also contain a inspection glass on the door
of the unit. Most of these inspection windows
are large and make great a ambiance viewing of
the flame and warm cozy feeling providing dim
light to room also.
In the northeast USA a wood pellet stove user
can expect to burn 3 - 4 tons of fuel per heating
season if the stove is used all the time.
Daily cleaning of the ash pan or burn pot is
recommended but not required with all units. Be
sure to adhere to all pellet stove manufactures
instructions when caring for your wood pellet
stove.
For safety, wood pellet stoves should be always
monitored during their "start up" ignition
phase until flame is lit and burn pot is burning
evenly. They also should be monitored when shutting
down and making sure the flame is 100% extinguished
before all are asleep in the house
